The Passing of Shoshi Atar and Family

With deep sorrow we inform you of the passing of a beloved member of our Keren Or Family - Shoshi Atar.

Shoshi and her husband Yariv, together with their six children, Yaacov Yisrael 12, Ateret 11, Ayala 9, Moria 7, Yedid 5 and Avigail 3, died tragically in a terrible car accident.

Shoshi began working at Keren Or in 1996, first as counselor and house mother in the residential part of Keren Or for the young adults.  Despite her youth, she was extremely successful in this role, establishing meaningful relationships with the young women and providing a loving, nourishing home to them. Her own life experience and natural warmth guided her every step. Shoshi later became an educator at the school and over the years she touched the lives of almost all the students with deep humanity and love. Her dedication, patience and constant concern for their well being, shone through.

We mourn with the entire Keren Or family.

May the Atar and Zarchie families be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem
